T&S Roofing Systems President Awarded 2018 Masters in Clay Award

Ernesto Sanchez, President of T&S Roofing Systems, has been awarded the 2018 Masters in Clay Award by Santafé Roof Tile, one of the largest clay roof tile importers in the United States. The Masters in Clay Award was created to recognize roofing professionals who have demonstrated mastery in the installation of clay roof tile and a consistent record of quality and installation in the roofing industry nationwide.

Sanchez was selected by Santafé executives and the award was presented at a special lunch in November at the Ladrillera Santafé Headquarters in Bogota Colombia. Sanchez co-founded T&S Roofing Systems in 2004, currently the largest residential roofing company in Miami that serves over 1,000 residential homes per year. T&S Roofing leads the Miami roofing market with the highest rated Google reviews, an A+ rating by the Better Business Bureau, and the company is a member of the GAF President’s Club.

During his 15-year tenure with T&S Roofing, Ernesto has been the executive authority on roofing installation and technical quality. His partner Louis Toledo, CEO of T&S Roofing, says “T&S Roofing Systems is not only a great company, it’s a great roofing company precisely because of the S in T&S. Ernesto Sanchez was born in Oaxaca, Mexico in 1970. He moved to the United States at the age of 16 and immediately started working as a roofer. His skills and creativity were quickly noticed and he became crew foreman before the age of 18.

Ernesto’s relationship with Santafé tile goes as far back as the early ’90s when Hurricane Andrew damaged thousands of roofs in Miami-Dade County. Aside from being a master roofer, he is a master tile installer, managing the installation of over half a million squares (50 million square feet) of roof tile over his 32+ year tenure in the South Florida roofing industry.
